Author - My Writing Story
The concept of encouraging yourself and encouraging others is at the heart of Anne Devine’s approach to authentic living in today’s fast-moving, complex world. Throughout her primary school teaching career, Anne used this simple, yet powerful, philosophy because of its intrinsic ability to connect with people and resonate in a powerful way across all age groups.
Anne’s Writing Story.
For as long as I can remember, I love writing.
I used to write and scribble notes around the place during childhood.
I journal to this day on a daily basis.
I noticed a recurring theme in my journaling.
“When are you going to write your book?”
So, I followed my own prompt and decided to just go for it!
What better subject to choose than my own favorite topic …Encouragement!
The one passion I had immersed myself in all through my teaching years.
Small steady steps are the way I approach things in life and so I embarked on the self-publishing journey.
A lot of twists and turns, challenges, and an absolute belief [maybe a bit of wavering at times! ]that I would follow through.
Which I duly did. “Encourage Yourself Encourage Others” was born and launched.
In my beautiful hometown of Lismore, Co. Waterford in September 2018.
When we Encourage Ourselves to follow our dream, whatever it be ….there are no words to describe the thrill of it all!
