Truth be told, I had been speaking for years, in my role as a School Principal.

Boards of Management, Parents’ Committees, Staffs, Assemblies.

You name it, I’d been there, done that.

 

Yet, this new speaking role felt different!

More Creative! More Exciting! More the Real Anne stepping forward!

I love, love, love addressing groups and engaging with them in meaningful conversations.

​

Following my book launch in 2018, I spoke on Encouragement within Waterford.

In Cappoquin, Lismore, Tallow, Dungarvan, Portlaw, Coolnasmear,

Ardmore, Butlerstown, Kilmacthomas, and Tramore.

​

Cork venues included Carrigaline, Conna, Killeagh, Fermoy,

Youghal, Araglen, U.C.C in Cork.

​

In Limerick, Ballyhoura CLG, Kilmallock.

​

In Wexford, I was invited as a guest speaker in 2018 to address.

The HSE Family Support Annual Respite and Work Conference.

​

In 2020, I was Guest Speaker for Waterford Area Partnership and Waterford Education Training Board Women’s Groups to mark International Womens Day.

​

The groups above included Community groups, Active Retired,

Retired Teachers, Probus, Women’s Shed, and Business groups.

​

The message of Encouragement is central to my talks.

Encouragement as we Age.

Encouragement as we face New Challenges.

Encouragement as we Grieve.

Encouragement in Friendships.

Encouragement within our Communities.

 Ordinary Everyday Encouragement.

 

My Journey as a Speaker began when I said

“I COULD DO THAT” and encouraged myself forward.

Step by Step.

Little by little.

Guided by my values of Compassion, Empathy, Courage,

Kindness and a great belief that Contribution matters.

And leads to a softer, more caring society for Us All.
